📄️ Overview of high assurance scenarios
With the recent uptick of passkey adoption in the consumer space, enterprises and public sector application developers will be looking to understand how to appropriately incorporate the technology into their applications. This module will discuss how passkeys fit into high assurance scenarios.
📄️ Assurance levels
First let's understand the concept of assurance level. In our context assurance refers to the authenticator assurance level that is defined in the guidance given by NIST in their report Digital Identity Guidelines. These are the technical requirements for federal agencies implementing digital identity solutions. We are utilizing this guidance as some of the principles should be taken under consideration for applications that operate in high risk scenarios.
📄️ Architecture
Our consumer bank scenario is illustrated by a sample application that will require step-up authentication for "high-risk" transactions.
📄️ Deploy example
In this section, we will deploy the Banking application.
